Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Pyotr Mandryk Central Military Clinical Hospital of the Russian Federation’s Defence Ministry, where he met with servicemen undergoing treatment and rehabilitation after sustaining injuries during combat missions in the special military operation.
Putin was accompanied by Defence Minister Andrei Belousov and the head of the hospital, Pavel Krainyukov. The President toured the hospital’s surgery wing, where he personally interacted with wounded soldiers from the 127th Separate Reconnaissance Brigade.
During the visit, Putin expressed gratitude and admiration for the bravery of the servicemen. He reiterated that those serving on the frontline and in active combat zones act with exceptional courage and responsibility, constantly facing the risk of sudden attacks. He noted that assault units, special forces, and army reconnaissance groups — including the soldiers he met — demonstrate extraordinary endurance and strength of character.

The President assured the servicemen that their efforts are meaningful and acknowledged that the overall situation on the frontlines is progressing favourably for Russia. He said their comrades are advancing across all sectors and actively pushing forward in combat operations.
Putin mentioned that he would shortly meet Ruslan Kolyvanov, another injured serviceman, and spend time with him over tea, wishing him a quick recovery.
The visit was aimed at personally conveying the state’s appreciation and moral support to those injured while carrying out critical combat tasks.
