The company announced that it has received a Letter of Empanelment from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) on August 12, 2025, for the supply and installation of 34,720 Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana / PM KUSUM B scheme.
On August 27, 2025, the MSEDCL portal was opened for Shakti Pumps to facilitate farmer registrations. The company was allotted 10,000 Off-Grid Solar Pumps to be offered to farmers across Maharashtra. In an extraordinary demonstration of demand and trust, all 10,000 solar pump units were selected by farmers within just 1.5 hours of the portal going live. The total value of this order is approximately Rs 268.88 crore (inclusive of GST). This event reinforces Shakti Pumps’ leadership in providing sustainable, high-quality water pumping solutions at scale.
Chairman of Shakti Pumps, Dinesh Patidar, expressed his delight over this development. He stated that the rapid selection of units by farmers demonstrates the trust in Shakti Pumps’ technology, service quality, and long-standing presence in Maharashtra. He further added that the company is confident of executing and delivering the order well within the stipulated timelines given its proven capabilities.
