The embassy warned that Americans currently in the region should exercise heightened caution and be prepared for possible flight cancellations, temporary airspace closures, and broader travel disruptions if the situation deteriorates further.

Officials noted that several airlines have delayed the resumption of normal flight schedules, while others have cancelled selected routes altogether. U.S. citizens currently in the Middle East are encouraged to consider departing while commercial travel remains available or be prepared to leave quickly should conditions worsen. Travelers have been advised to check the latest departure information directly with their airlines or through official airport flight information services for Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport and Haifa Airport.

The State Department also urged Americans outside the Middle East to seriously reconsider travel to or through the region while tensions remain elevated. Those who choose to travel have been advised to closely monitor airport operations, airline schedules, and local security developments before and during their journey.

According to the embassy, U.S. diplomatic facilities, including those outside the Middle East, have previously been targeted, and Iran along with groups supportive of Iran may seek to target additional U.S. interests overseas. These potential targets could include American diplomatic missions, businesses, institutions, and locations associated with the United States, as well as American citizens abroad. In addition, the embassy advised Americans to exercise extra caution at locations publicly associated with the United States and to maintain a low public profile. Citizens were also encouraged to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP), which enables U.S. embassies and consulates to provide timely security updates and facilitates contact during emergencies.
